Do you have an individual or group presentation project and would like to practice and obtain feedback from a SCI peer tutor?

Presentation skills tutoring is available both in-person at one of the Campus Learning Centers, and online via Zoom to all students seeking to develop their academic presentation skills for class assignments, presentations for conferences, poster sessions and research symposiums etc.

Writing Tutoring

The Learning Centers offer no-cost writing tutoring to help improve your skills and your coursework. Both undergraduate and graduate students can access tutoring in a variety of ways: in-person by appointment and drop-in, online by appointment via Zoom, and through asynchronous feedback online.

What to Expect

At your scheduled appointment or drop-in, bring a draft of your paper for a course, a personal statement for graduate or professional school, or simply your ideas. Our tutors provide feedback and suggestions about your writing in the following areas:

  • Brainstorming topics
  • Developing an argument
  • Formulating a thesis
  • Organizing ideas
  • Planning your writing process
  • Structuring paragraphs
  • And more

Learning Centers tutors do not provide proofreading or copy editing services.
