Tyshaun Monroe earned a Master of Education in Higher Education & Educational Leadership from Liberty University and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Southern New Hampshire University. Tyshaun is a military veteran with eight years of active-duty service in the United States Air Force, Tyshaun brings extensive experience in leadership, training coordination, program development, and student support to higher education.
Before joining Rutgers, Tyshaun worked in academic advising, college counseling, and student success initiatives, supporting diverse student populations through academic planning, retention strategies, career development, and experiential learning opportunities. His professional background includes coordinating orientation programs, implementing data-informed advising strategies, developing student workshops, and fostering partnerships with educational institutions and community organizations.
Throughout his career, Tyshaun has demonstrated a strong commitment to mentorship, leadership development, and inclusive student engagement.
