About Sarah Crawford
Sarah brings nearly a decade of dedicated experience in student services to the Office of Testing and Placement, having served Rutgers undergraduate students since 2016. As program coordinator, she works directly with students to ensure they have support accessing placement exams, understanding their results, and navigating everything in between. Behind the scenes, Sarah collaborates closely with the Senior Program Coordinator to enhance the website, implement policy updates, and refine processes and platforms that create a smoother testing and placement experience for students.
Drawing from her experience as a first-generation college student, Sarah specializes in understanding the first-year student perspective. She helps students understand that their placement results are tools for success, not judgments of their capabilities, ensuring judgment-free interactions where every student feels supported.
Sarah has cultivated strong analytical and critical thinking skills while managing complex placement logistics and providing personalized support to students from diverse backgrounds. She excels at translating academic policies into clear, practical guidance and has improved processes that benefit student outcomes.
She holds a BA from Montclair State University in Family and Child Studies with a concentration in Family Services.
