Rebecca Clapp
Assistant Director of Training and Professional Development
Rebecca Clapp is a dedicated educator with experience developing and implementing diverse curricula, overseeing and creating professional development, and fostering student and teacher growth. She holds a master’s degree in education from Columbia University, Teachers College, where she developed a deep understanding of best practices in pedagogy and teaching literacy. She received her standard Supervisor Certification through the Rutgers University Supervisor Endorsement Program in 2021 and served as a Literacy Coach for the Middletown Public School District. Prior to stepping into the coaching role, Rebecca taught secondary English Language Arts in the district for many years. She was a guest panelist on an episode of the Teachers College’s Teaching Today podcast in 2021. She began her involvement with Rutgers as a part-time Instructional Coach for the Peer Leader Program in the spring of 2023. She then taught the Pedagogy of Peer-Led Learning course this past fall and spring semesters. It was this involvement in the Peer Leader Program that ignited a passion for supporting peer leaders and the learning centers as a whole.
